The phone’s 1.3 mega pixels camera rotates at 180° and comes with a variety of shooting modes, namely: single shot, multi shot and mosaic shot. The camera also comes with effects to boot so you can either transform your pictures to black & white, negative or sepia or add a dainty frame. It also has the option for delayed pictures as well settings of scene programs, metering exposure and ISO. For the videos, you also have the same list of options akin to the camera.

Another feature available is the software it supports like JAVA along with a file manager, an MP3 player, a few stored games and an image editor that will improve your pictures. Another feature is its “world time” which comes very handy for those who travel around the world. This time feature is animated and enlarged by the entire phone interface. What’s more is that it has 3 alarms so you have more leeway to adjust your alarm to go at specific weekdays without having to adjust periodically.

The SGH-T809 has a memory of about 82 MB and comes with a free memory of 65 MB and about 29 MB for free on the memory card. Its phonebook can hold up to 1000 entries on the phone and 250 entries on the SIM card. Every entries can be expanded u to 5 numbers, one email address, 50 characters, a picture id and a ring tone.

As for connectivity, the T809 is preloaded with AIM, ICQ and Yahoo! Instant Messengers especially since you can browse the internet supported by WAP 2.0. To easily connect to headsets and hands-free devices you can use their Bluetooth technology.

The features of this phone make it easily a winner. However, some disadvantages to consider is that it has no voice dialing and a small action button while its navigation controls and keypad are a little hard to master
