Who remembers what kind of toys they played with when they were kids? If you’re a guy you might think of home-made cars, kites, paper boats and the like. Now we see how the advancement in technology has made every kid’s dream come true, from the realistic video games to the remote control cars and my personal favorite-the remote control speed boat (RC) boats.

These boats are really a great way to safely have fun in the water with varying designs depending on use-for pools and small ponds, seawater, and freshwater, and are usually replicas of the real size speed boats with powerful motors. The remote control speed boat can even reach a speed of 25+mph and can perform many impressive maneuvers that you can see in James Bond movies. They are manufactured in different sizes, for example the black racing monster has sizes with a length of 73 cm, a weight of 25 cm and a height of 13 cm whereas the hydro flying remote control plane boat measures only 28 inches! Majority of the boats are complete with a rechargeable battery, controller and a safety system which makes the propellers stop when they are out of water and makes it safe enough for even an 8yr old to play with. The average running time is up to 20 minutes and operating range 300 meters which is just about as far as you can see it.

Owning a remote control speed boat is becoming more and more popular even among adults who collect them as a hobby, and no wonder considering that many of us didn’t have these luxuries as kids. They make great gifts for children and are perfect pools, small ponds, rivers and lakes toys. Their design is very realistic and performance fascinating and very affordable (as low as $24.00) and are very much fun. So if you can’t afford the real thing, a remote control speed boat might be a consolation.
